In the Facebook Farmville game, one option you get to access are the vehicles. You will only get the vehicles when you reached level . You can use the vehicles to help you with the work load at your farm.

What kind of vehicles do you get to drive?

Your options are red tractor, pink tractor (for girls I assume :P ), a harvester and a seeder. I think it will be totally cool if we could drive a real tractor in the real world.

The reason you want the tractors is to increase the efficiency of your farm. However, there is a catch. It has a price tag!

The vehicles in Farmville are not very expensive and you can run them as long as you have gas to fuel them. This means that you can wait for the fuel to fill up on its own, or you can buy fuel refills for your vehicles.
These can add up fast. The fuel refills can only be purchased with Farmville cash, not coins, so you’ll need to consider if this is the way you want to spend this valuable currency.

So, should you invest in Farmville vehicles?

It’s up to you to decide actually. As I mentioned earlier, it will increase your farm efficiency. For example, the tractors will allow you to harvest 4 times faster since they can plow 4 plots of land at a time. If you want to get ahead of your friends in the game, you may need the tractors to assist you.

Here’s a tips on vehicle investment…wait until you have a relatively large farm. You must also have some cashflow coming in either from your crops or animals to support the vehicles.

You can sell the tractors if you really need the money. As with everything in Farmville, when you sell your asset, you won’t be getting the amount you’ve paid for it.

One thing I like when playing Farmville is the colours. When you play the game, it is filled with soft and relaxing colours. Mostly probably it is because the game is filled with cute looking animals and lots of greeneries.

One aspect of the game that you want to consider is using the tree strategy. Tree and animals in Farmville have many in common. There’s one major difference though. Trees do not wander around like animals do.

If you look into the investment sense of trees, they cost a lot and yet their produce does not sell for a lot of money.

Why would anyone want to invest in trees for their farm then?

Remember there’s some similarity between trees and animals?

They have a very long return on investment (ROI) time frame. But over time, trees do pay for themselves because as you harvest, new crops will be growing. New fruits and yet zero cost to you. As long as there are no pesky pest, the trees will last for a long time.

There are a couple of ways you can get your hands on different types of trees. The most common way is to buy them. You can also get tree as a gift. It’ll be awesome if we could give away trees as a present in the real world!

What’s the different between investing in plants versus investing in trees?

One major different is the harvest time. Normal plants such as soybeans or strawberries have a limited time frame for harvesting. Failing to do so and the crops will start to wilt and die.

As for trees, you won’t lose the fruits if you do not wish to harvest them. It will depend on your preference. You can leave the fruits on the tree and they will act as aesthetic features for your farm.

If you need the cash, you can always harvest the fruits and sell them. And guess what, as soon as you harvest them, new fruits will start to grow. Neat, isn’t it!

If you really need to, you can also sell the entire tree. It is very similar to selling an animal. I guess for tree, you have to uproot them and then move it to its new owner. Not to worry, the process is very easy in the Farmville game.

The way I use Farmville tree strategy is to use them to enhance the value and feel of my farm. As my farm grows, I can actually move the trees to a new location. It is a nice feature where I can use the trees to adapt to my game play.

Have you ever dream of living the life of a farmer? Most of us have never thought of becoming a farmer when we’re a kid. But now, millions of people around the world are donning a pair of overall and tending to animals and crops. I’m talking about Farmville on Facebook.

If you have not seen the online game yet, you must have been living under a rock or in a very remote area with no internet connection.

Farmville is a fun and a very addictive game. Who would have thought it’ll be so much fun taking care of plants and animal…even thought they are not real. Nonetheless, it takes us momentarily away from the stress of our lives.

I have been playing Farmville for a couple of months now. There is an interesting statement that I’ve learned from the game and it is called “Rate of Rot”!

Sounds pretty awful right?

It’s not that bad actually. The rate of rot is basically understanding how long a particular plant or fruit in Farmville will start to rot.

Why is it important?

Here’s a Farmville tip for all the beginners. You want to reduce wastage early in the game. When you’ve invested in a particular seed and planted them in the grown, you want to make sure you can harvest them and make some money.

When the plants are matured but you forgot to tend to them, it will start to wilt and die. Dead plants have no economic value.

Understanding the rate of rot is quite easy. This is because the window for harvesting any crop is the same as the length of time it takes that crop to grow.

Lets take pumpkins as an example. When you’ve planted pumpkin seeds, it will take 8 hours to mature. The plant will start to rot 8 hours after they’re ready to be harvested.

To have a successful harvest, you have to make sure you will be able to get back to your farm within 16 hours of planting them. If you fail to do so, you will lose your crops and wasted your cash.

Here’s a Farmville strategy you can use. If you think you are unable to check on your farm for the next couple of days, you may want to consider planting crops like artichokes.

Artichokes will take 4 days to mature, and you will have additional 4 days to harvest them before they go bad. Hence, it will give you a grace period of 8 days to tend to your farm.

It’s a lazy Sunday today, and I’ve just checked on my farm in Farmville. Everything seems to be in order. I’ve been thinking back the time I got started playing Farmville about 2 months ago and I’ve gotten quite far ahead.

In the process, I made some minor mistakes and also a few major errors. But it was all fun! If I were to start all over again, I’ll do a few things differently. And that gave me the idea to write this post. I’ll call it the 8 tips on how to get the right start in the Farmville. And here goes…

1)	Take baby steps

One mistake that I made early on is to expand way too fast. I will start to plow large plot of land with the plan of planting as much crop as possible. But then I realized I ran out of money. I have not enough money to buy seeds in the bank. The lesson here is to expand one step at a time.

2)	Know your plant

When you’re a farmer, it is a good idea to know all of your crops. Different play has different characteristics and benefits. The type of crop you plant will affect how you advance in the game.

3)	Harvesting time

One of the benefits of knowing your plant is understanding the harvesting time. Different crop has different harvesting time. Knowing the harvesting time will reduce wastage because of crops failing.

4)	Fast experience points

It pays to get experience points fast in Farmville. The key is to get the most experience points out of every plot of land planted. The faster you accumulate experience points, the faster you’ll move up to the next level.

5)	Focus on Return On Investment (ROI)

When you are planning to purchase seeds, look for crops with the highest ROI. In the early stages of the game, the crop with the highest ROI is soybean.

6)	Accumulate cash quickly

When you have cash in the bank, you can start to expand your farm. For quick cash, the best crop choice is strawberries. Strawberry plants only take 4 hours to mature from the time you planted them.

7)	Have a system

In the early stages, it is best to keep your farm in a systematic order. Start by planting in blocks. This means that you’ll have a symmetrical section for each type of crop. It makes it much easier for tracking purposes.

8)	Farm checking time

Know the time of your game play. Make sure you have free time to check on your farm when you initiated a large crop project. For example, strawberries will start to wilt after 8 hours. Tend to them within that time frame or the fruits will rot.

There it is. I hope the 8 Farmville tips on top are helpful. If you have any other suggestion, feel free to comment below.

Farmville game on Facebook is fun and yet a very interesting game. To be honest, when I’m playing the game, a lot of planning and thinking comes into place. It actually reminds me when I was studying the subject of investment and personal finance in college.

How could that be? Farmville is just a silly game, not Wall Street!

That’s what I thought. There’s actually a lot of real world aspect that works in the game as well.

A very good example is when you are making a decision to invest in a particular seed to plant. When I was studying personal finance, one thing that I learned is Return On Investment (ROI).

When everything is equal, the investment instrument with a higher ROI is always better. To get a high ROI, it is best to have a short investment holding time frame.

In Farmville, the investment time frame can be measured in hours! You can actually calculate your earnings potential per hour.

Here’s a good example. Strawberries take 4 hours to mature from the time you planted them. You can then sell your strawberry harvest for 35 coins per plot of land.

Eggplants, on the other hand, take 2 days (48 hours) to mature and sell for 88 coins per plot of land.

Which plant has a better dollar per hour?

I’ll skip straight to the answers. The strawberries have a coin per hour rate of 8.75, as opposed to the eggplant’s 1.83. Do you see the drastic different?

When you know how to look at dollar per hour, you’ll play the game differently. If you are a competitive player, this Farmville secret with get you miles ahead of your friends.

You’ll make your investment decision based on the best ROI. This mean your decision about which crops to plant will have to take into account how often you want to check back on your farm, how quickly you want to level up, and how quickly you want to be able to build up your cash stores.

Playing the Farmville game is a lot like be a real farmer. If you think about it, we are living a simulated life of a farmer on the web. Facebook gave us the platform for us to connect with other farmers wannabes.

Who would have thought playing a farmer can be so much fun…and addictive also.
To get the most out of the game, you must be able to generate sufficient cash in the bank. To do that, you need to harvest crops that are ready for the market.

The following are 3 Farmville money making tips for the newbie.

1)	Take baby steps.

Know how big you want your farms to get. Obviously, the more land you have, more money you’ll make. As you guessed it, plowing and planting seeds on your farm is not free.

You’ll need money to make money…yes, even in Farmville, you can’t escape the clutches of capitalism.

If you have too many farms, you’ll be wasting time if you don’t have to money to buy seeds. The key is to expand a little at a time and take advantage of the available acreage.

2)	Know what to plant.

When you are starting out in Farmville, the crops available to you are strawberries, eggplant, wheat, and soybeans. Each individual crop has its benefits.

Read up on the different criteria and characteristics of the individual crop. Which crop you decide to plant will have a lot to do with how often you’re going to be checking on your farm, as well as how quickly you want to advance in the game.

3)	Know when to harvest.

When deciding what crop to plant, one of the key considerations is the harvesting time. For example strawberries will be ready to be harvested 4 hours after you’ve plant them.

If you left them for more than 8 hours though, the plans will wilt and you won’t be able to make any money off of them. So, know the harvesting time of each crop.

There are many more Farmville tips and strategies on how to make a lot of money. Some of the strategy, I actually learn it from the Farmville Secrets e-book. I bought it for only $27.

If you have a dream of becoming the Bill Gates of Farmville, check out the manual today.
