Playing the Farmville game is a lot like be a real farmer. If you think about it, we are living a simulated life of a farmer on the web. Facebook gave us the platform for us to connect with other farmers wannabes.

Who would have thought playing a farmer can be so much fun…and addictive also.
To get the most out of the game, you must be able to generate sufficient cash in the bank. To do that, you need to harvest crops that are ready for the market.

The following are 3 Farmville money making tips for the newbie.

1) Take baby steps.

Know how big you want your farms to get. Obviously, the more land you have, more money you’ll make. As you guessed it, plowing and planting seeds on your farm is not free.

You’ll need money to make money…yes, even in Farmville, you can’t escape the clutches of capitalism.

If you have too many farms, you’ll be wasting time if you don’t have to money to buy seeds. The key is to expand a little at a time and take advantage of the available acreage.

2) Know what to plant.

When you are starting out in Farmville, the crops available to you are strawberries, eggplant, wheat, and soybeans. Each individual crop has its benefits.

Read up on the different criteria and characteristics of the individual crop. Which crop you decide to plant will have a lot to do with how often you’re going to be checking on your farm, as well as how quickly you want to advance in the game.

3) Know when to harvest.

When deciding what crop to plant, one of the key considerations is the harvesting time. For example strawberries will be ready to be harvested 4 hours after you’ve plant them.

If you left them for more than 8 hours though, the plans will wilt and you won’t be able to make any money off of them. So, know the harvesting time of each crop.
