Farmville Facebook Tips – The Rate Of Rot?

Have you ever dream of living the life of a farmer? Most of us have never thought of becoming a farmer when we’re a kid. But now, millions of people around the world are donning a pair of overall and tending to animals and crops. I’m talking about Farmville on Facebook.
If you have not seen the online game yet, you must have been living under a rock or in a very remote area with no internet connection.
Farmville is a fun and a very addictive game. Who would have thought it’ll be so much fun taking care of plants and animal…even thought they are not real. Nonetheless, it takes us momentarily away from the stress of our lives.
I have been playing Farmville for a couple of months now. There is an interesting statement that I’ve learned from the game and it is called “Rate of Rot”!
Sounds pretty awful right?
It’s not that bad actually. The rate of rot is basically understanding how long a particular plant or fruit in Farmville will start to rot.
Why is it important?
Here’s a Farmville tip for all the beginners. You want to reduce wastage early in the game. When you’ve invested in a particular seed and planted them in the grown, you want to make sure you can harvest them and make some money.
When the plants are matured but you forgot to tend to them, it will start to wilt and die. Dead plants have no economic value.
Understanding the rate of rot is quite easy. This is because the window for harvesting any crop is the same as the length of time it takes that crop to grow.
Lets take pumpkins as an example. When you’ve planted pumpkin seeds, it will take 8 hours to mature. The plant will start to rot 8 hours after they’re ready to be harvested.
To have a successful harvest, you have to make sure you will be able to get back to your farm within 16 hours of planting them. If you fail to do so, you will lose your crops and wasted your cash.
Here’s a Farmville strategy you can use. If you think you are unable to check on your farm for the next couple of days, you may want to consider planting crops like artichokes.
Artichokes will take 4 days to mature, and you will have additional 4 days to harvest them before they go bad. Hence, it will give you a grace period of 8 days to tend to your farm.
